ABOUT ESCAL

I studied chemical engineering and started at Picanol, where I was given room to build a portfolio of services into a new revenue stream. That planted the seed for what came after: innovation, marketing and sales.

What followed ran wide. Six years leading the innovation team at Bekaert. A new product at Bekina. At CREAX I built the new business development offer and grew the international sales team to four people. And four years as CMO at Aqualex, a company that went from fifty to a hundred and fifty people and from ten to twenty-five million in revenue over that period. What stayed with me most are the people I hired there. A few of them now run bigger things than what I gave them.

Alongside that I have been coaching entrepreneurs in the Vlerick SME Excellence programme for more than fifteen years, and since 2017 I am a sparring partner at Start it @KBC.

You work with me, not with a team behind me. I am sharp in analysis and I ask questions that can feel uncomfortable, but that cut to the core quickly. I work diplomatically and I believe in the strength of people.
